You are right that AwesomeBump is a bit complicated and scary looking at first but that is only because of all of its tools that make it appear to be confusing. And that's a really bad thing as far as I'm concerned which makes me less likely to buy it and makes me feel like it's not worth my time even though all of that is just my own opinion about it. You'll notice MindTex's don't look as good or as clean when you compared to one another.Īlso, the fact that the Devs have still not updated or provided any sort of improvements to this program whatsoever is another main reason on top of that which tells me that they don't care about their software. If you need proof of that then go ahead and generate your texture maps in MindTex then try and do the same exact thing in one of the other programs similarly. The main reason I never got it is because the I've noticed that the maps generated by it don't look as good and up to par as others I've used. MindTex is Mediocre and is easier than some out there especially for its price so if that's what you like and want then it's certainly okay since it gets the job done decently well so long as you are happy with the results that it produces as that is what matters in the long run.
